Columbus Short is no stranger to scandal. While he has kept mum about the controversy surrounding his life and career these past three months, he’s finally opening up about his recent headlining behavior. During an interview with Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush, Short said, “I lost a lot of things due to these ugly stories, whether they are true or not. The allegations put an ugly, nasty taste in people’s mouth and that’s the unfair part that I’ve had to weather.” The actor’s list of offenses stem from fights in bars, being charged with misdemeanor spousal battery, to public misconduct during this past 4th of July weekend. The 31-year-old also discussed his departure from ABC’s hit show Scandal and said, “They did not throw me to the curb like trash – that’s my family. They knew that I was going through a tough season and rallied around me and wrapped their arms around me, from Shonda to the craft service man.” Watch a teaser to the interview above before it airs later this week.
